Stay away from strangers! If you don't know someone, you should not talk to them. Never leave with a grown-up that you don't know -- even if someone asks you to help look for a lost puppy or asks you for directions. If you get lost from your parents, go to a check-out clerk or a police officer for help. Before you go anywhere -- always ask your parent's permission first. And remember to tell mom and dad where you are going and who you are going with. Use the "buddy system" when you are out in public. Remember to take a friend.

Never take money, candy, or gifts from anyone without asking mom or dad first. If you notice a grown-up following you, stay away. If someone tries to take you somewhere by force, try to get away. And always, scream for help or yell out, "This man is trying to take me away!" or "This man isn't my dad!" Never answer the door bell or a knock at the door without mom or dad. If the phone rings while mom and dad are outside, never say that they aren't in. Put the phone down and go get one of them. Most of all, remember to follow Mom and Dad's rules!
